The Firm was Founded Originally by Mr. Hector Rivera Dominguez and Julio Ibarra Rios in 1967 with the name of Rivera Ibarra, Attorneys at law, it was a firm specialized in tax; commercial and penal law with a long time practice in those specific areas; in 1997 the firm became Rivera Fernandez and Associates. A new full service law firm with an international cut specialized in attending international and domestic clients in all practice areas.

In 1999 the firm merge with the prestigious firm Botello, Lugo, De los Santos & Coiscou that was established 1988 and then developed to a high quality full services specialized Law Firm based in Santo Domingo.

Covering all fields of law, in 2002 The Firm change their name to Rivera & Rivera, Attorneys at law, and became the representative In Dominican Republic top prestigious group of firms adding new services and new partners, and adapting to the challenges of the 21st .century.

In 2003 Rivera & Rivera adds new international services and established a branch in Florida, United States, and then in 2005 with the development and improvement of internationals services the firm establishes three more branches: Panama City, Panama; Guadalajara, Mexico and another in process of been installed in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
